Who the apps are for
The Abuelito apps are for people 13 and older (on the App Store they are rated 13+, and Abuelito English as its listing says). People studying for a driver's permit are usually 15 or older, and people preparing for citizenship are 18 or older. They are not made for children or directed to children under 13.
Children under 13 (COPPA)
We don't ask for age or for data that identifies a child, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Without an account, progress stays on the phone. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 created an account or sent us data, email [email protected] and we will delete it (you can also delete the account yourself: Delete my account).
Teens (13 to 17)
- We recommend using the apps with a parent's or guardian's knowledge, especially to create an account or buy a pass.
- We don't sell or share anyone's data, including teens', and we show no ads from other companies.
- On iPhone, purchases go through Apple, which applies parental controls (Ask to Buy, Screen Time) and your state's App Store age rules.
